Fig. 1 La encimera está diseñada para empotrarse en muebles de cocina con una profundidad de entre 550 y 600 mm que cuentan con las características adecuadas. También es posible empotrarla en muebles de cocina de 600 mm de ancho, en cuyo caso es preciso realizar el hueco en la superficie de instalación conforme se indica en la Fig. 2. La superficie debe tener un grosor de 30 mm como mínimo. Si la superficie de instalación tiene más de 50 mm de grosor, la encimera se puede instalar en muebles de cualquier anchura. Las unidades (muebles, electrodomésticos, etc.) que estén cerca del mueble en el que se instala la encimera no deberán tener más altura que la superficie de instalación. Es preciso dejar un espacio de 100 mm entre el hueco de instalación y cualquier pared lateral que supere la altura de la superficie de instalación. Las dimensiones de la encimera y del hueco de instalación se proporcionan en las Fig. 1 y 2.
