Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.
This manual is immaculate in it's accuracy. Everything is written very clearly and easy to understand. Written by a professional who wants to convey a clear and easy to understand message!!

Sicherheitshinweise für den Installateur
Dieses Gerät entspricht bezüglich des Schutzes gegen Feuergefahr dem Typ Y (EN 60 335-2-6). Nur Geräte dieses Typs dürfen einseitig an nebenstehende Hochschränke oder Wände eingebaut werden. Der Berührungsschutz muss durch den Einbau gewährleistet sein. Der Einbauschaltkasten oder Leistungsteil und das Einbaukochfeld sind mit speziellen Stecksystemen ausgestattet. Sie dürfen nur mit Geräten des passenden Systems kombiniert werden.
Elektrischer Anschluss
1. Der Elektroanschluss muss von einem konzessionierten Installateur ausgeführt werden. 2. Beim Direktanschluss Drahtlänge ca. 120 cm vorsehen. 3. Als Netzanschlussleitung muss eine Leitung vom Typ H05VV-F oder höherwertig verwendet werden. 4. Die Installation muss über eine Zuleitung mit Stecker erfolgen oder es ist in der festverlegten Hausinstallation eine Trennvorrichtung mit mindestens 3 mm Kontaktöffnung vorzusehen, die das Gerät gleichzeitig und allpolig vom Netz trennt entsprechend der NIN 2000. 5. Aus- und Wiedereinbau des Einbauschaltkastens oder Leistungsteils erfolgt gemäss Text Einbau. 6. Anschluss-Klemmenkasten öffnen (siehe Aufkleber des Einbauschaltkastens oder Leistungsteils). Klemmenanschluss gemäss Schaltschema. Anschluss-Klemmenkasten schliessen. 7. Achtung! Im Servicefall muss das Gerät vom Netz getrennt werden.
Automatische Spitzenbelastungskontrolle Der maximale Phasenstrom richtet sich nach der Leistung der einzelnen Kochzonen, der Anschlussspannung, dem Anschlussbild und der Schalterstellung. Beispiel für eine Normkochfeld mit folgender Bestükkung: hinten links = 1800 W vorne links = 2400 W hinten rechts vorne rechts = 2300 W = 1200 W
