Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.
This manual is immaculate in it's accuracy. Everything is written very clearly and easy to understand. Written by a professional who wants to convey a clear and easy to understand message!!

The hood may be used as follows: â Exhausting version â Recycling version
The air is vented outdoors by a duct which must be connected to the coupling ring S (See figure 6 âInstallationâ). Choosing the exhausting pipe The coupling ring S has a diameter of 150mm. We suggest to use à 150 mm exhausting pipe.
Suggestions for the installation and use of the hood
â The horizontal sections of the pipe must be slanted slightly upwards (about 10%) to ensure an easy flow of the air outwards. â The best performance of the unit is obtained in the external exhaust model (suction), therefore in the limits of the possibilities it is advised to use the external exhaust (suction) type. â The best performances are obtained with short pipes (max. 4 m) and with few curves.
The air is filtered through two carbon filters (to install them see paragraph Carbon filter -) and recirculated into the room through the grating on the lower chimney part. Attention! If the hood is not supplied with carbon filter, then it must be ordered and mounted. This version is used when there is no exhaust duct for venting outdoors or when it is impossible to install one.
Before completing any connection, make sure the house voltage corresponds with the voltage indicated on the label affixed inside the hood. The hood is supplied with a standard plug; connect it to a correspondingly standard socket. In the case is intended to connect the appliance permanently to the mains after having removed the plug supplied, must be fitted a two-pole switch conforming to regulations with an opening distance between contacts of not less than 3mm. The manufacturers are not liable for any problems caused by the userâs failure to observe the above instructions. 7
When installed, the hood must be not less than 60 cm. above electric burners or 75 cm. above gas or mixed-fuel burners.
â The hood cannot be connected to flues of other appliances that run on energy sources other than electricity. â When the hood is used at the same time of other appliances that run on energy sources other than electricity, provision must be made for an adequate supply of air.
