Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.
This manual is immaculate in it's accuracy. Everything is written very clearly and easy to understand. Written by a professional who wants to convey a clear and easy to understand message!!

However when the ice becomes very thick on the inner liner, complete defrosting should be carried out as follows: Remove the frozen food from the freezer, wrap it in several layers of newspaper and put it in a very cool place. Switch off the appliance and pull out the plug or turn the temperature selector to 0 OFF. Leave the freezer compartment door open. Insert the plastic scraper into the recess provided under the defrost water channel and place a collecting basin under it. Once defrosting is completed keep the scraper for future use. Turn the thermostat knob to the required setting and replace the plug in the power socket. Warning! Never use metal tools to scrape off the frost Do not use a mechanical device or any artificial means to speed up the thawing process. A temperature rise of the frozen food packs, during defrosting, may shorten their safe storage life.
Switching off the appliance
To switch off the appliance, turn the temperature regulator to position "0" or disconnect from the electricity supply. If the appliance is not going to be used for an extended period: Remove all refrigerated and deep-frozen packages as well as ice trays. Remove the mains plug or switch off. Defrost freezer compartment and clean thoroughly (see section: Cleaning and Care). Leave the door open to avoid the build up of odours.
