Thanks so much for the Owner's manual for my Sony PS - FL1. I had purchased the turntable off of eBay. It came in and looked great. Packed well and appeared to be great. I balanced and aligned the tone are and hooked it up. When trying to play a record the tone are would move to the right place and just before it would drop to play it moved back off the edge of the record before touching down. I searched the net for an answer to this issue. No luck. Then I purchased the owners manual and sure enough there was a place to adjust where the stylus touched down. That adjustment solved the problem and saved me a $35 feet to have the player checked out. The manual is well written and easy to understand. It is a must have for anyone with this front loading Sony turntable.
Some years back I pruchased a Sansui G-9000. I had it cleaned up and a problem with the left channel repaired. When I got it back I hooked it up to my tape decks, turn tables, TV and it played great. The only thing I was not really satisfied with was the performance of my Graphic Equalizer. I purchased this owner's manual had poured myself a cup of coffee. The manual is well organized and written in plain language. It also contained the solution to my dissatisfaction. By using the preamp connections coupled I was able to run everything through my graphic equalizer and now enjoy the full potential of my complete system.
An excellent service for the price, however, it would also have been handy if the troubleshooter pages were included. The manual is only sent in the language of your country, thus it looks as though there are some pages missing. Otherwise highly recommended.

Thawing
Frozen food, prior to being used, can be thawed in the fridge or at room temperature depending on the time available. Small food items may even be cooked from frozen; in this case cooking will take longer. Any frozen food which is allowed to thaw accidentally should either be eaten as soon as possible or thrown away. Alternatively, if the food is uncooked and has not been completely defrosted it can be cooked and then refrozen. Meat, fish and fruit should be thawed in the refrigerator compartment and small pieces of meat can even be cooked while still frozen, but you must ensure that it is thoroughly cooked through. Vegetables should be directly immersed in boiling water; ready-cooked dishes can be placed directly in the oven in their aluminium wrapping. A microwave oven is particularly suitable for thawing any type of frozen food: follow the oven instructions, particularly regarding the placement of aluminium wrapping or containers in the oven. Defrosted cooked food must never be refrozen.
Using the Crisper Bin
The humidity slide control adjusts the level of humidity inside the crisper bin.

Storing Vegetables Place the vegetables in the crisper bin. Slide the humidity control to show fewer holes - this will result in higher humidity in the crisper bin. Storing fruit Place the fruit in the crisper bin. Slide the humidity control to show more holes - this will result in lower humidity in the crisper bin.
Making ice cubes
The appliance is provided with one or more trays for ice-cubes trays. Fill the tray(s) 3/4 full to give the ice space to expand and place them in the freezer compartment. To release the ice cubes simply give the tray a slight twist. Do not use sharp or metallic instruments to remove the trays from the freezer.
Using the Chiller Compartment
The chiller compartment can be used to store meat, cheese or to chill drinks. The temperature can be made cooler than the rest of the refrigerator by adjusting the flap as shown.
Fresh food refrigeration
To obtain the best performance, do not store warm food or evaporating liquids in the refrigerator; do cover or wrap the food, particularly if it has a strong flavour. Do not cover the shelves with any protective material, such as paper, cardboard or plastic, which may obstruct the air circulation through them. To help you use your refrigerator correctly, here are some more useful hints: Raw meat (beef, pork, lamb & poultry or chicken): wrap in polythene bags and place on top of the salad crispers. Meat can only be stored safely in this way for one or two days at the most. Fruit & vegetables: these should be thoroughly cleaned and placed in the bottom salad drawer. Butter & cheese: these should be placed in special airtight containers or wrapped in aluminium foil or polythene bags to exclude as much air as possible. Milk bottles: these should have a cap and should be stored in the bottle rack on the door. 6

Less cold - Close the chiller compartment flap by pushing the lever upwards. Colder - Open the chiller compartment flap by pushing the lever downwards. Wrap meat in plastic bags, place it inside the chiller compartment and push the lever to the colder position (downwards). Meat should only be stored in this way for two days at the most. For longer storage, use the freezer compartment. Wrap cheese or other small food items in plastic bags, place them in the chiller compartment and push the lever to a medium setting. Place drinks to be chilled in the chiller compartment and push the lever to the colder position ensuring that the contents does not freeze, as the container may burst.
