Wanting to repair a neighbours tape recorder I needed the necessary information, it makes it easier. Although the service manual is described as "Language : English" To my dismay I found that it is entirely written in German, a language I do not understand. At least I now have the schematics which will help of sorts. I may not use this service again due to the laguage difficulty after all when it states English you do not expect it to be entirely in another language.
Tray 2 paper-feed module disassembly
Remove the paper-feeder plate to gain access to the paper pickup drive assembly. It is not necessary to separate the engine module from the paper-feed module to gain access to the paper-size detection PCB, although it will provide easier access.

Removing the tray 2 paper-feeder plate 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Separate the engine module from the paper-feed module (page 171). Remove the tray from the paper-feed module. Remove the four self-tapping screws (one screw is recessed in front). Lift the paper-feeder plate to remove it. Release the two tabs on the paper-size detection PCB cover. Disconnect the three cables on the paper-size detection PCB. Press the two tabs to release the paper-size detection PCB. Note the cable routing. Slide the PCB from the paper-feeder frame. Remove the two machine screws from the paper pickup drive assembly.
