This was a very hard to find manual. The unit is long discontinued and Pioneer doesn't retain every manual for every model. Thanks owner's-manual.com!

I'm so glad I was able to find a site to download my missing manuals. Very reasonable prices and they kept me informed about the process and I had my manual within less than a day. The only thing I wish was an option is a 100% English version with no spanish or anything. But overall great site.
SETTING SUBTITLE LANGUAGE
The same subtitle language can always be selected even if you replace the disc or turn the power off.
1 Press SETUP in the stop mode.
Press guage� or to select �Lan-

or ENTER. Then press or �Subtitle�.

Press or to select your desired language, then press ENTER.

English, Francais, Espanol, Deutsch, Italiano: The subtitle is displayed with the selected language if it is recorded on the disc. Other: If you want to select another language, enter the language code (See the Language code list on page 46). Automatic: � The unit will automatically select the same language in the AUDIO setting. � When the unit selects the same language as the AUDIO, the subtitles will not appear during playback. � When you do not use the same language as the AUDIO, the subtitles will appear during playback. Off: Subtitles do not appear.
4 Press SETUP or RETURN to remove the Menu screen.
NOTE: If the selected language is not recorded on the disc, the first priority language is selected.
