I purchased the unit from a private party and the original owners manual was not available. Having the ability to download it was extremely helpful and clarified operating the equipment immensely. This is a complicated unit and without the manual I would not have been able to maximize it's potential. Thank you.

Changing the Paper Size and/or Media Type for the Front Feeder
The printer is optimized for printing on 20-lb. (75 g/m2), letter-size paper. If you consistently use another size paper or a different type of media in the front feeder, you can change the settings to match what you are using. To change the Paper Size and/or Media Type for the Front Feeder: 1 Press ON LINE.
7 Press ENTER/Power Save. 8 Press MENU 1/Menu 2 until FRONT / MANUAL appears on the display. 9 Press /Reset repeatedly until the setting you want appears on the display. 10 Press ENTER/Power Save. An asterisk appears to indicate the new default setting. 11 Press ON LINE to save the setting and exit the menu mode.

2 Press MENU 1/Menu 2 repeatedly until PAPER SIZE appears on the display. 3 Press ENTER/Power Save until FRONT / MANUAL appears on the display. 4 Press /Reset repeatedly until the setting you want appears on the display. 5 Press ENTER/Power Save. An asterisk appears to indicate the new default setting. If you are not changing the Media Type, skip to step 11.
