Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.
HOW TO USE THE GENIUS REMOTE TO CONTROL YOUR T.V.
Enter two or three numbers to select channels. Enter a "0" first for channels 1 to 9. Use the "100" button for channels 100 and higher. Channel selection may also be performed by pressing channel up ( ) or down ( ).
NOTE: THE TV MAY NOT RECEIVE SOME CHANNELS IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE CORRECT AIR/CABLE MODE. SEE PAGE 19.
AVX button The AVX (Auxiliary Video) button will select between the antenna signal and the three sets of video input jacks each time the button is pressed.
VOLUME, MUTE buttons Press the "VOLUME" up ( ) or down ( level.
) button until you obtain the desired sound
To turn the sound off instantly to answer the telephone, etc., press the "MUTE" button. Press the "MUTE" button again or press the "VOLUME" up ( ) button to restore the sound.
The word "MUTE" will remain displayed if the CLOSED CAPTION feature is turned off. See page 18. 17
