I purchased the unit from a private party and the original owners manual was not available. Having the ability to download it was extremely helpful and clarified operating the equipment immensely. This is a complicated unit and without the manual I would not have been able to maximize it's potential. Thank you.
Being a user of older radios of many kinds, preferring them over more modern rigs, this manual was invaluable in the programming of my two. I now know for certain what the assorted buttons functions are, and am very grateful to have found this excellent site. Many thanks for your assistance, Tony.

When used as an extractor unit, the hood must be fitted with a 100mm diameter hose. If the fumes must be forced out through the wall, you must obtain a MKZ sizable wall exhaust pipe (with external exhaust and air intake), E-Nr.- 610 899 004 ( 120 mm) which is one of our optional parts. When installing the hood, make sure you respect the following minimum distance from the top edge of the cooking hob/ring surfaces: electric cookers gas cookers 600 mm 700 mm
The hood can be installed above these heights but for optimum performance it should be installed at the distance quoted for the appropriate heat source.
General details
The hood is supplied as a ducted version, but may also be used in recirculation mode by inserting a charcoal filter (Special accessories). The air is ducted out through a pipe which is connected to the outlet hole A (fig. 1) by means of a coupling flange B. To connect the hood to a wall box, you use hoses and wall boxes as offered on the AEG price list as optional extras. Extractor version
