I was having a hard time finding the problem with this Mackie 1604 unit. I didn't have a schematic. Went looking on the web and found your site and the price was more then reasonable. Ordered it and within the hour had the manual and within 15 minutes had the unit fixed. Best $4.99 I ever spent. Thank you.

This is a service manual in every sense of the word ( French and German versions of the text are included, as well as English..)
There are explanations of the mechanical and electrical functions, plenty of mechanical drawings, and the needed schematics. The quality of the scanning is excellent - all the component values are clearly legible - and very usefully there are pcb component layouts, so you can find a component on the schematic, and then very quicky pinpoint its physical location on the relevant pcb.
I cannot see how I can give this manual any less than the maximum 5 stars! Great value for money, which will pay for itself immediately. Excellent all round!

MP440BX SPECIFICATION UPDATE
5.
System Will Not Format Unformatted 2.88 MB Diskette
PROBLEM: The BIOS does not support formatting unformatted 2.88 MB diskettes. The operation will terminate with the message, Invalid Media or Track0 Bad. Disk not useable. Previously formatted diskettes can be reformatted in the drive. IMPLICATION: Unformatted diskettes will have to be formatted in another system before they can be used. WORKAROUND: None. STATUS: This erratum will be fixed in a future BIOS revision.
6.
System BIOS Does Not Log ECC Memory Errors
PROBLEM: The system BIOS does not write a record to the DMI log stored in non-volatile memory when a single or double bit ECC memory error is identified by the memory controller. IMPLICATION: For single bit errors, the error will be corrected based on the memory checkbits. The corrected data will be passed to the system by the controller, but the error will not be recorded in the DMI log.
For double-bit errors identified during run time, the system will not be halted. The erroneous data will be passed to the system by the controller. The error will not be recorded in the DMI log. Because these errors are not recorded in the DMI log, the user will not receive information from this log that could be useful in isolating a failing memory module.
WORKAROUND: None. STATUS: This erratum will be fixed in a future BIOS revision.
7.
Onboard LAN Controller May Not Initialize Properly
PROBLEM: The onboard LAN controller intermittently fails to establish a network link at the time the system is started or rebooted. IMPLICATION: The user will not have access to network resources. WORKAROUND: None. STATUS: This erratum will be fixed in a future PBA revision.
