Probably it never existed a 1081 official service manual from Commodore, it's look more like a NAPCEC service manual & diagrams compilation of the 1084 series and his variants, like the nap6523, 8cm505, 1084S, 1084P and obviously the 1081. It's more complete than other scans and the quality of the scans also are far superior. It has two circuit diagrams variants of the 1081, mono and stereo versions. It doesn't include a diagram for the Philips CM8500 or CM8501, they look like the 1081 but they are slightly different.

1.5.1 System Management Mode
1.5.1.1 Full on mode
In this mode, each devices is running with the maximal speed. CPU clock is up to its maximum.
1.5.1.2 Doze Mode
In this mode, CPU will be toggling between on & stop grant mode either. The technology is clock throttling. This can save battery power without loosing much computing capability. The CPU power consumption and temperature is lower in this mode.
1.5.1.3 Standby mode
--CPU: Stop grant --LCD: backlight off --HDD: spin down
For more power saving, it turns of the peripheral components. In this mode, the following is the status of each device:
1.5.1.4 Suspend to DRAM
The most chipset of the system is entering power down mode for more power saving. In this mode, the following is the status of each device: Suspend to DRAM --CPU: off --NB: Partial off --VGA: Suspend
