Removing the contents of the dust container
Always operate the cleaner with the dust container installed. The dust container must be emptied if the window of the electronic flter indicator is illuminated when the cleaner is operating at maximum power and the nozzle is raised from the floor. 7. 8. 9. 8. 7. Remove the dust container by using the open button on the handle. Remove the filter set by pushing the button. Remove the contents of the dust container. Insert the filter set back into the dust compartment . Insert the dust compartment back into the cleaner by pressing it down until it clicks.

1 Usare sempre l�aspirapolvere con il contenitore della polvere installato. 2 Inserire il tubo telescopico finché il fermo si blocca con uno scatto (Per rilasciarlo, premere il fermo verso l�interno). 3a,b Applicare il tubo telescopico all�impugnatura del tubo flessibile e alla bocchetta per pavimento spingendoli l�uno nell�altro e torcendoli. 4a Estendere il cavo e collegarlo alla presa dell�elettricità, controllando che questo non sia attorcigliato prima dell�uso. 4b Per riavvolgerlo, premere il pulsante avvolgicavo. Tenere in mano la spina per evitare che colpisca la persona. 5 Per mettere in funzione l�aspirapolvere premere il pulsante Acceso/Spento. 6 L�aspirazione può essere regolata sull�impugnatura del tubo flessibile aprendo/chiudendo lo sfiato.

Operating the hose in/out of the suction inlet
To connect the hose into the suction inlet push it until it clicks. To disconnect the hose from the suction inlet push the button at the end of the hose.

Filter indicator light
Before commencing cleaning, plug the cleaner in and turn it on (without the hose attached to the cleaner ). If the light is on, clean the filter. If the light is not on, attach the hose and all the other necessary attachments and commence cleaning. The light will flicker on and off whilst cleaning. This is normal.

Filters should be replaced at least twice a year or when they become visibly soiled. Always operate the cleaner with filters installed to avoid reduced suction. Disconnect from electrical outlet before changing the filters. Replacing the cartridge filter Remove the dust container by using the open button on the handle. Remove the filter set by pushing the button. Remove the cartridge filter by turning it counter-clockwise (A) and pull it out (B) . Rinse it under tap water. Air dry for approximately 24 hours, to ensure it is completely dry before reusing. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme drying circumstances. If you wish to use your appliance while the cartridge filter is drying, you may use t he extra cartridge filter inserted in the packaging box. Insert the cartridge filter into its place (B) and turn it clockwise (A) . Insert the filter set back into the dust container. Insert the dust container back into the cleaner by pressing it down until it clicks. Cartridge filter reference number: ET 407 133 054/4. Replacing the motor filter

Troubleshooting
Power: if the electric power does not come on, disconnect from mains and check plugs, cable and fuses where appropriate. The cleaner may switch itself off in event of severe blockage or excessively dirty filters. In such cases, disconnect from mains and allow to cool for 30 minutes. Clear blockage and/or replace filter(s) and restart. The clearing of blocked hoses is not covered by the guarantee. To avoid blockages and maintain suction efficiency, the floor nozzles should be cleaned regularly using the hose handle. Water: if water is sucked into the cleaner the motor must be changed at a service centre. This is not covered by the guarantee.

Replacing the exhaust filter 12. Open the filter grill to remove the exhaust filter. Take the filter out of its place. Put a new filter into its place, then close the filter grill. Micro filter reference number: ET 407 133 056/9 (depends on the model). HEPA filter reference number: ET 407 133 057/7 (depends on the model).
