This is one of four manuals I have downloaded recently. Purchase was very straight forward and the authorising email arrived in about 4 hours. The quality of the scan is good. Print is clear and square to the page edges.

 HD-600 KENWOOD Owner's Manual by John Copeland;
Having purchased a 1994 Kenwood music system from a Charity shop in 2013 (it was a high end product in its day), I found myself not quite knowing where to plug in what, and how to do this, that and the next thing. I needed a Manual, and after failure with another online 'Manual provider' I found Owner Manuals dot com. Well, I wasn't sure, but it was only $5, and if things didn't work out, I wouldn't have lost much... But things DID work out. After paying my childrens inheritance money, $4.99, I was sent a Manual for my Kenwood System very quickly. Alas, it was in German, and being Scottish, I could not read it or get my system in order from it...a rapid email to them brought the English Manual in short order, and my retro-system was and IS up and running in it's regulation settings. I am very grateful to http://www.owner-manuals.com for their quick service and for even having such an obsolete Manual in the first place! If you need a Manual for ANYTHING, try here first. I wouldn't be surprised if I bought a 1928 Marconi radio, and got the user Manual for THAT here too! Top marks. John Copeland Glasgow Scotland

I was so happy that the owner's manual was available. It is well written and helped me to use the radio/CD player/recorder without problems. Thanks for making it available. Irene Lambert

Using the Oven Control (contd)
! CAUTION
To avoid fire or smoke damage, clean excess spills before starting a self-clean cycle. remove any flammable materials from storage drawer. Items like plastic containers and paper manuals can melt or burn.

Delayed Self-cleaning

! WARNING
To avoid risk of personal injury, do not touch oven vents, or area around vents, during self-cleaning. These areas can become hot enough to cause burns.

! WARNING
To avoid risk of personal injury, property damage, or fire, clean excess grease and soil from oven before beginning a self-clean cycle.

Self-clean feature uses high oven temperature to clean oven interior. For the oven to operate through a complete self-clean cycle, the self-clean must be set when the oven is cool. 1. Prepare oven for self-cleaning (see below left). 2. Close door. 3. Move self-clean latch lever to right side to lock the door. 4. Press CLEAN pad. 5. Press STOP TIME pad. Turn TIME/TEMP SET knob until desired stopping time displays. 6. Oven calculates starting time based on cleaning time and stop time. DELAY displays until oven starts self-clean cycle. OVEN ON indicator light will be on during cleaning and will remain on until the end of the cycle. At the end of the self-clean cycle, the OVEN ON indicator light will shut off. Oven will stop heating, however, will remain hot. At the end of self-clean cycle, OVEN and LOCKED indicator lights flash. This indicates the oven is cool enough for the door to be unlocked. Move oven door lever to left to the unlocked position. DO NOT attempt to unlock door before OVEN and LOCKED indicator lights flash.

Do I need to prepare?
To get the best results from the self-clean cycle, follow these steps: Remove birds or animals susceptible to smoke or other fumes from the room or adjoining room. Clean excess spills from oven interior and bottom thoroughly. Open window if possible. Make sure oven light cover is properly in place. Do not use cleaning cycle if it is not. Remove oven racks and all cooking utensils from oven. Remove items from range top, backguard and storage drawer. These areas can become hot during self-cleaning cycle. The range vents from the center bottom of the backguard. Make sure this area is unobstructed by removing all items from backguard and range top. 20

How Long Should the Self-Clean Cycle Last?

The Self-Clean cycle lasts approximately a total of four hours, including a 1/2 hour to 1 hour cool down. After the Self-Clean cycle ends, the oven must cool before the oven door can be opened. When the LOCKED light no longer glows you can safely open the oven door. DO NOT force the oven door open while the LOCKED light shows. The oven door lock can be damaged.

Interrupting the self-clean cycle

To stop a self-clean cycle that has already started follow these steps. If the interruption occurs mid cycle, the oven will remain locked, even though the cycle has stopped, until the oven cavity has cooled to a lower temperature. 1. 2. Press SET/CANCEL pad. When oven has cooled to a lower temperature, LOCKED light turns off. Door can be unlocked. DO NOT force door. This can cause damage to the latch.
