The Philips scope is of excellent quality, longevity and build and had a couple of faults
when it was passed to me. Having the CCT diagrams is a blessing.
I have fixed the problems and also modded the scope to my requirements.
I have built a 24v Li-Ion pack for portable use from old but good laptop batts.
it is working beautifully and I am well pleased. Keep up the good work Guys.

The manual was made available promptly. I is a clean scan of the original. I had no problem downloading it. The scan was well centered and cleanly formatted. It is as good a product as can be had without being the original document.

Note: The format complies with the setting of this menu item when the tape is ejected. 013 PB FORMAT 0000 MANUAL : The format complies with the setting of setup menu No. 012 (SYS FORMAT) when a DVCPRO cassette is inserted. The format complies to the format recorded on the tape when a DV or DVCAM cassette is inserted. 0001 AUTO : The format complies with the format recorded on the tape. Note: When AUTO has been selected, the picture and sound may be disturbed until the format is detected after a tape is loaded. 017 CHARA SIZE This selects the size of the characters for the superimposed display output from the VIDEO MON connector. 0000 NORMAL : Standard size 0001 LARGE : 4 times larger than the standard size Note: When LARGE has been selected, only time data is displayed, regardless of the setup menu No.008 (DISPLAY SEL) setting. This sets the format in which the tape is to be played back. Description This sets the VTR�s recording and playback format.
