 HD-600 KENWOOD Owner's Manual by John Copeland;
Having purchased a 1994 Kenwood music system from a Charity shop in 2013 (it was a high end product in its day), I found myself not quite knowing where to plug in what, and how to do this, that and the next thing. I needed a Manual, and after failure with another online 'Manual provider' I found Owner Manuals dot com. Well, I wasn't sure, but it was only $5, and if things didn't work out, I wouldn't have lost much... But things DID work out. After paying my childrens inheritance money, $4.99, I was sent a Manual for my Kenwood System very quickly. Alas, it was in German, and being Scottish, I could not read it or get my system in order from it...a rapid email to them brought the English Manual in short order, and my retro-system was and IS up and running in it's regulation settings. I am very grateful to http://www.owner-manuals.com for their quick service and for even having such an obsolete Manual in the first place! If you need a Manual for ANYTHING, try here first. I wouldn't be surprised if I bought a 1928 Marconi radio, and got the user Manual for THAT here too! Top marks. John Copeland Glasgow Scotland

 PS-FL1 SONY Owner's Manual by Laurence White;
Thanks so much for the Owner's manual for my Sony PS - FL1. I had purchased the turntable off of eBay. It came in and looked great. Packed well and appeared to be great. I balanced and aligned the tone are and hooked it up. When trying to play a record the tone are would move to the right place and just before it would drop to play it moved back off the edge of the record before touching down. I searched the net for an answer to this issue. No luck. Then I purchased the owners manual and sure enough there was a place to adjust where the stylus touched down. That adjustment solved the problem and saved me a $35 feet to have the player checked out. The manual is well written and easy to understand. It is a must have for anyone with this front loading Sony turntable.
 G-9000 SANSUI Owner's Manual by Laurence White;
Some years back I pruchased a Sansui G-9000. I had it cleaned up and a problem with the left channel repaired. When I got it back I hooked it up to my tape decks, turn tables, TV and it played great. The only thing I was not really satisfied with was the performance of my Graphic Equalizer. I purchased this owner's manual had poured myself a cup of coffee. The manual is well organized and written in plain language. It also contained the solution to my dissatisfaction. By using the preamp connections coupled I was able to run everything through my graphic equalizer and now enjoy the full potential of my complete system.

Induction Cooking
®

Recommended Cooking Procedures
 Set the pan on the area to be used before turning on the controls. Be sure that the pan is in the center of the indicated cooking area on the cooktop. DO NOT heat an empty pan. Heating an empty pan may cause the pan to warp and/or may cause the cooktop to shut down. See page 8 for information regarding the thermal sensor. Since induction cooking is fast, start cooking at a lower temperature except when bringing water to a boil. Foods will start cooking in the medium temperature range. The control can then be adjusted to continue cooking at a lower or higher setting if necessary. Use the H setting only to bring liquids to a boil. Once the boiling point has been reached, the temperature setting should be reduced. Sustained high heat temperature can cause pans to warp and food to scorch or burn onto the pan. For energy efficiency, use the lowest setting necessary; few foods need temperatures higher than 3 to 6 to sustain cooking. Using a lid will also increase efficiency by bringing foods more quickly to a boil. More even browning will occur if the heat setting is increased gradually. For example, heat the pan on a medium setting for a few minutes before increasing the temperature. Small ferromagnetic items such as spoons, spatulas, etc. will not heat if accidentally left on the cooking surface. If the induction cartridge is located near a radio or remote controlled TV receiver, the cartridge could interfere with the reception on these appliances when it is on.

Cartridge Control

Setting the Controls
The induction cartridge is operated by using two controls, one on the cooktop or range and one on the induction cartridge.

Notes . . .
 When the induction element is turned on, five quick beeps will be heard. If beeping continues (five beeps once per second), make sure that a ferromagnetic pan of at least 4 diameter is placed on the element. If five beeps are heard periodically, the cooktop or range surface control knob is not set to HI.

Induction is an advanced cooking technique that uses energy created by a magnetic field to cook food. When the element is activated, molecules in the cookware vibrate rapidly causing the cookware to become hot which, in turn, heats the food. Cookware must be ferromagnetic (contains iron and will attract a magnet. See page 7.) With induction, the cooking surface may feel warm to the touch. The heat that is felt on the cooking surface is reflected from the pan. Because the surface does not get very hot, spillovers will not burn on. The glass surface is easily cleaned with a damp sponge. The area surrounding the pan will remain at room temperature.

Step 1:
 Turn the cooktop or range surface control knob for the appropriate front or rear cooking surface from OFF to HI and leave it on HI while cooking. Using a setting other than HI will affect the cartridges performance and could damage the cartridge. The cartridge display will automatically show 5 (medium) when the cooktop or range control knob is turned on. Because the induction surface reacts so rapidly, always begin cooking on the medium 5 setting.

Suggested Heat Settings
Features of induction cooking
These are only suggested control settings. The differences in amount of food, utensils used and the available voltage will affect control setting. Setting L-2 3-4 Uses (Low) Keeping food warm, melting chocolate* and butter. (Medium Low) Stewing, steaming, simmering; cooking foods started on higher settings. (Medium) Sauteing; slow boil of large amounts of food; most frying. (Medium High) Fast frying or browning foods; maintain rapid boil of large amounts of food. H (High) Fast heat to start cooking quickly; bring liquids to a boil or blanch. Induction cooking is energy efficient. Only the pan is heated. If the pan is lifted from the cooktop surface, the electronic circuit shuts down automatically; no energy is provided to the cooking area until the pan is replaced on the cooktop. Induction cooks faster than other electric cooking surfaces. Induction elements provide immediate response. Heat can be increased or decreased from potential boilover to simmer instantly.

Step 2:
 Press the up or down pad on the induction car5-6 7 - 10 tridge to increase or decrease the heat settings. Each press of the up or down pads will increase or decrease the setting by one from L (low) to H (high). The display window will show the current setting. Press the oval pad to quickly reset to 5 (medium).

Step 3:
 To turn off the induction cartridge, turn the cooktop or range surface control knob to the OFF position.

* Chocolate can be melted successfully at low (L - 2) settings without using a double boiler.
