Push the tray in, or press the Open/Close button, to close the tray.

Start up or restart your computer, then quickly press the keys x (Command), Option, Shift, and Delete on your keyboard.

Hold down all four keys until you see the �happy Macintosh� icon on the screen. Holding down these keys tells the computer to bypass the internal hard disk and to start up from the CD-ROM Setup disc. In a few moments, the disc icon appears on your screen.
6 7 Double-click the disc icon to open it. Double-click the Installer icon to open it.

The Install dialog box appears.

The version numbers that appear on your screen may be different from the ones shown here. Your disk supplies the latest version of the CD-ROM software.
