The TEAC A-1500's Service Manual was instrumental in reviving this classic reel-to-reel. Not only does it have the schematics, exploded parts diagram and parts list, it also provided mechanical adjustment information that approximate factory default settings.

This service manual was determinant to enable to fix my Alpine Amplifier. I am pleased with my purchase. For a 5 star rating I would like to see a higher resolution scan of the printed circuit board lay-out because the gray scale grafics was dificult to see. Also some schematic diagrams were scanned at a slight angle. Never the less, it had all information I needed to troubleshoot and service my equipment.

(3) Press the [MENU] key, and set the PICTURE MODE to BRIGHT. (4) Adjust the [FUNCTION UP/DOWN] and [-/+] key to bring the set values of 1.CONT. to 5. HUE to the values shown in the [5. VSM PRESET]. (5) Press the [MENU] key, and set the PICTURE MODE to STD. (6) Make similar adjustment as in 4 above. (7) Press the [MENU] key, and set the PICTURE MODE to SOFT. (8) Make similar adjustment as in 4 above. (9) Press the [MENU] key, and set the COLOUR TEMP to COOL. (10) Adjust the [FUNCTION UP/DOWN] and [-/+] key to bring the set values of 1.WDR R to 3. WDR B to the values shown in the table. (11) Press the [MENU] key, and set the COLOUR TEMP to WARM. (12) Make similar adjustment as in 10 above. (13) Press the [MENU] key, and set the COLOUR TEMP to NORMAL. (14) Make similar adjustment as in 10 above.
