The service manual is really great - thanks to it I was able to install the laser unit and thus "save" my CD-player, which seemed to be impossible before I had the manual.

Follow the same procedure as in �4, 1.� Follow the same procedure as in �4, 2.� Adjust the vertical scall of the oscilloscope 2 so that the synctip to the white level of the EIA color bar signal spans 7 vertical graticules, as shown in Fig. 5. 5. 1. DPS Video Output Level Adjustment
1. Set S3 to position 2. 2. Disconnect the monitor TV from the CATV converter. 3. Apply +5dBmV Fv and �10dBmV Fa DPS scrambled signal directly to the monitor TV. 4. Adjust the vertial scall of the oscilloscope 2 so that the synctip to the white level of the EIA color bar signal spans 7 vertical graticules, as shown in Fig. 5. 5. Re-connect the monitor TV to the CATV converter. 6. Set S1 to position 5. 7. Apply +5dBmV Fv and �10dBmV Fa DPS scrambled signal to the CABLE IN terminal. 8. Adjust VR801 so that the sync-tip to the white level spans 6.5±0.1 graticules on the oscilloscope 2.
6.4 RECONFIRMATION
1. Reconfirm AFT Adjustment
1. Set S1 and S2 to position 2 and apply a +5dBmV Fv carrier signal to the CABLE IN terminal. 2. Reconfirm the TP3 frequency to be 45.75MHz±10kHz.
