Remedy If the power cord is disconnected or there is a power failure while the player�s power is on, the settings you have made may be cleared. Always press � STANDBY/ON on the player�s front panel or � STANDBY/ON on the remote control and check that POWER OFF has turned off from the player�s front panel display before disconnecting the power cord. Be particularly careful when the power cord is connected to the AC outlet on another device because the player turns off in conjunction with the device. We recommend plugging the power cord into a wall outlet whenever possible. When a disc on which files are recorded is inserted, depending on the number of files recorded on the disc, loading may take several dozen minutes. The characters that cannot be displayed on this player are displayed in �. Set Hybrid Disc Playback to DVD (page 43).

After a disc is inserted, Are there too many files recorded on the disc? Loading stays displayed and playback does not start. � is displayed in file names, etc. The DVD layer of BD and DVD Is Hybrid Disc Playback properly set? hybrid discs cannot be played. The Hybrid Disc Playback setting cannot be changed when a disc is set. Remove the disc, then change the setting. The BDMV/BDAV Playback Priority setting cannot be changed when a disc is set. Remove the disc, then change the setting.
