This is a service manual in every sense of the word ( French and German versions of the text are included, as well as English..)
There are explanations of the mechanical and electrical functions, plenty of mechanical drawings, and the needed schematics. The quality of the scanning is excellent - all the component values are clearly legible - and very usefully there are pcb component layouts, so you can find a component on the schematic, and then very quicky pinpoint its physical location on the relevant pcb.
I cannot see how I can give this manual any less than the maximum 5 stars! Great value for money, which will pay for itself immediately. Excellent all round!

7. DISASSEMBLY
Note 1: Do NOT look directly into the pickup lens. The laser beam may cause eye injury. Note 2: Even if the unit shown in the photos and illustrations in this manual may differ from your product, the procedures described here are common. Note 3: For the performing the diagnosis shown below, the following jigs for service are required. � GGF1529 : Emerqency tray ejection rod. � GGF1533 : BB Extension board � GGD1437 : BB Extension cable

Diagnosis of PCB's
1 Bonnet Case and Tray Panel

Remove the Bonnet Case by removing the eight screws. Press the Press the Press the Press the STANDBY/ON button to turn on the power. OPEN/CLOSE button to open the Tray. OPEN/CLOSE button to close the Tray. STANDBY/ON button to turn off the power.

Remove the Tray Panel.
Pull out the Power cord.

Insert GGF1529 into bore as shown in the following figure. If the Tray pops out a little, fully pull it out by hand. Tray Tray open
