Loading Paper
After you have set up the machine you need to load paper then specify the paper size using the procedure below.
Important!
When loading paper into the upper paper tray, do not load more than 100 sheets of plain paper (80 g/m2 or 20 lb). Overloading the upper paper tray can cause misfeeds.
Loading Plain Paper into the Upper Paper Tray

Fan the stack of paper to make sure that all pages are free and are not sticking together. The upper paper tray holds up to 100 sheets of plain paper (80 g/m2 or 20 lb).

Straighten up all four sides of the stack by tapping them on a desk or tabletop.

Set paper into the upper paper tray. Make sure that the top of the stack is not higher than the limit mark on the tray guide.

Squeeze the tray guide and slide it against the edge of the stack.
