Thanks so much for the Owner's manual for my Sony PS - FL1. I had purchased the turntable off of eBay. It came in and looked great. Packed well and appeared to be great. I balanced and aligned the tone are and hooked it up. When trying to play a record the tone are would move to the right place and just before it would drop to play it moved back off the edge of the record before touching down. I searched the net for an answer to this issue. No luck. Then I purchased the owners manual and sure enough there was a place to adjust where the stylus touched down. That adjustment solved the problem and saved me a $35 feet to have the player checked out. The manual is well written and easy to understand. It is a must have for anyone with this front loading Sony turntable.

Some years back I pruchased a Sansui G-9000. I had it cleaned up and a problem with the left channel repaired. When I got it back I hooked it up to my tape decks, turn tables, TV and it played great. The only thing I was not really satisfied with was the performance of my Graphic Equalizer. I purchased this owner's manual had poured myself a cup of coffee. The manual is well organized and written in plain language. It also contained the solution to my dissatisfaction. By using the preamp connections coupled I was able to run everything through my graphic equalizer and now enjoy the full potential of my complete system.

An excellent service for the price, however, it would also have been handy if the troubleshooter pages were included. The manual is only sent in the language of your country, thus it looks as though there are some pages missing. Otherwise highly recommended.

Enamel finishes may be cleaned simply by wiping with a damp cloth. Regular use of a good household appliance cleaner and wax is recommended for protecting the finish. Stainless steel cabinets require the use of a stainless steel cleaner. Carbonated water is an excellent cleaner if a regular stainless steel cleaner is not available.
Cleaning Solution Mix a solution of 2 l/3 cups powdered citric acid to seven quarts of hot water. Citric acid is available in most drug stores. Hot water should be used if possible as the citric acid will go into solution quicker and the cleaning itself is accomplished in less time. Commercial ice machine cleaners are also available in liquid form and should be mixed according to instructions on the label. These ice machine cleaners are available through commercial refrigeration supply houses. Sanitizer SolutionMix sodium hypochlorite (common laundry bleach) with water. Follow instructions on the sanitizer container to obtain a solution of 100 PPM available chlorine. 2. Place service switch in off oosition.

Over a prolonged period of time scale will form on the Inside walls of the water condenser which must be removed. When scale forms the ice maker becomes less efficient and requires larger amounts of water for cooling. The scale is cleaned from the inside of the condenser walls with chemicals. It is recommended that the scale removal should be performed by your WHIRLPOOL ice maker dealer. Air Cooled Models

A dirty or clogged condenser prevents proper air flow resulting in reduced ice capacity and subjecting the unit to higher than normal operating temperatures. A vacuum cleaner and a stiff brush should be used to remove the accumulation of lint and dirt from the finned section of the condenser. Impurities are rejected from the circulating water that freezes into ice. These impurities collect on the freezing mechanism and in the water system and form a hard scaly deposit. Generally this scale prevents a rapid release of the ice slab during the harvest cycle and may cause the red warning light to indicate intermittently. The water and ice making system, therefore, should be periodically cleaned and sanitized. The frequency of cleaning will depend on local water conditions and how rapidly scale accumulates.
B.
Lift up gently on the thickness control arm. The water will stop circulating and the water in the reservoir pan will syphon out to the drain.
