Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.

4 : Sélecteur Mute � Le fait de placer le sélecteur Mute sur la flèche coupe (Mute) l'AH1 ; ramenez-le en position inverse pour réactiver l'AH1 et qu'il puisse transmettre le signal audio. Comme le signal de porteuse n'est pas affecté par le sélecteur Mute, aucun bruit parasite n'apparaît lors de sa manipulation. Remarque: Le fait de couper le microphone par le sélecteur Mute ne le met pas hors tension. Ce sélecteur permet simplement d'interrompre temporairement la transmission du signal audio. En cas de non utilisation prolongée de l'AH1, il est préférable de le mettre hors tension au moyen de son interrupteur d'alimentation (voir n°5 ci-dessous). 5: Interrupteur d'alimentation � Placez cet interrupteur sur la flèche pour mettre l'AH1 sous tension ; placez-le dans la direction inverse pour le mettre hors tension. Pour éviter de gaspiller l'énergie de la pile, n'oubliez pas de mettre l'AH1 hors tension lorsque vous ne l'utilisez pas.
