Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.

Auswahl von Sendern, die nicht automatisch gefunden werden (manuelle Senderabstimmung) Wählen Sie in Bedienschritt 3 die Option �Manual tune� aus. Betätigen Sie wiederholt die TUNING/PRESET/TIMETaste, bis der Sender, dessen Programm Sie hören möchten, gefunden wurde. Alternativ können Sie auch die TUNING/PRESET/TIMETaste solange nieder gedrückt halten, bis der Sender gefunden wurde und die Taste dann loslassen. UKW: in Schritten von 50 kHz MW: in Schritten von 9 kHz < �STEREO� erscheint in der Anzeige, sobald ein Sender in Stereoqualität empfangen wird. < �TUNED� erscheint in der Anzeige, sobald die Empfangsfrequenz eines Senders korrekt eingestellt ist.

1 Betätigen Sie die SOURCE-Taste wiederholt,
um den TUNER-Betrieb zu wählen.
2 Betätigen Sie zur Auswahl von UKW oder MW
die BAND-Taste.
3 Betätigen Sie die TUNING MODE-Taste zur
Auswahl des �Auto tune�-Modus.

Bei jedem Betätigen der TUNING MODE-Taste ändert sich die Betriebsart, wie folgt: Manual tune (Manuelle Abstimmung) Auto tune (Automatische Abstimmung) Preset tune (Preset-Senderabstimmung)
4 Wählen Sie die Station aus, deren Programm
Durch Betätigen dieser Taste können Sie zwischen Stereound Monowiedergabequalität umschalten. Stereo UKW-Stereosendungen werden in Stereoqualität empfangen und die STEREO-Anzeige leuchtet im Display. Mono Wählen Sie diese Einstellung, um Störungen bei vermindertem UKW-Stereoempfang auszugleichen.

Sobald ein Sender gefunden und eingestellt wurde, stoppt die Suchfunktion automatisch. Falls Sie die Suche abbrechen möchten, betätigen Sie die TUNING/PRESET/TIME-Taste.
