Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.

This manual is immaculate in it's accuracy. Everything is written very clearly and easy to understand. Written by a professional who wants to convey a clear and easy to understand message!!
PLAYING A PROGRAM 1. Press PLAY/PAUSE RP . 2. Play starts with the first track of the program. 3. When all tracks have been played, the MP3-CD/CD player stops. CLEAR PROGRAM TRACKS Opening and closing the CD tray will erase all programmed tracks. RANDOM PLAY (Remote Only) You can play all the tracks in a random order. 1. Press RANDOM button. 2. "RAND" lights up on the display. 3. The tracks will be played in a random order automatically. 4. Press STOP or RANDOM to cancel the random mode. REPEAT PLAY (For CD) If at any time you wish to listen to a disc or program over and over again, the REPEAT function will allow you to do so. Press REPEAT once. REPEAT PLAY (For MP3-CD) 1. Press "REPEAT" button once. 2. "REPEAT 1" will be displayed on the LCD. 3. Press REPEAT twice, "REPEAT ALL" will be displayed on the LCD. 4. Press REPEAT three times, "REPEAT ALBUM" will be displayed on the LCD. 5. Press REPEAT four times, to cancel the "REPEAT" function.

Press TIMER to store the sound source. The volume level 15 will appear on the display. Press B or F to set the desired sound level. Press TIMER again to store the timer setting.
For CD 1. Insert a disc into the CD tray. 2. Press TIMER. 3. Repeat steps 4~11 under �For tuner� for timer setting. 4. Press B or F to set the sound source to CD. 5. 6. 7. 8. The volume level 15 will appear on the display. Press B or F to set the desired sound level. Press TIMER again to store the timer setting. CD will be played.
TIMER OFF SETTING 1. Press the TIMER. 2. The icon will disappear.
OPERATION/SLEEP
1. Press SLEEP, �SLEEP� appear on the display. 2. Keep pressing SLEEP to adjust the sleep time in the order of 90>80>70...10 minutes. 3. To cancel the SLEEP mode, press SLEEP again.
OPERATION/TIMER
Before setting the timer, make sure the clock is correctly set. TIMER ON SETTING Press CD, TUNER to select the desired sound source. For TUNER 1. If you select TUNER, press B or F to select a preset station. 2. The display will show the selected preset station and frequency. 3. Press and hold TIMER to confirm your selection (remote only). 4. Icon will appear on the display. 5. The digit of hour segment will flash more than 2 seconds. 6. Press B or F to set the hour. 7. Press TIMER again, TIMER and digit of minutes segment will flash on the display. 8. Press B or F to set the minutes. 9. Press TIMER again to store the start time. 10. Repeat steps 6~9 to set the timer off. 11. The display will show TUNER segment.
OPERATION/PRESET EQUALIZER
Press PRESET EQ to select the digital sound performance in the order of CLASSIC, ROCK, POP, JAZZ and PASS.
