This is a awesome quality scan of the original Service Manual for Technics 8099.
Contains the circuit diagram, PCB layout, adjust/tune instructions as well.

Very nice and real Service Manual, I didn't thought it actually exist in the real world at all.
HOW TO CHECK THE UNIT
1. Connect the AC power cord. 2. Press the Power switch to turn on the power. 3. The unit will be set into Initial settings as shown below. If the unit is mulfunction, the unit will stop in the step. Turn on the power Notes: Discriminates the carriage No. of the Carriage switches *Push the front side switch v CARRIAGE No.1 *Push the rear side switch v CARRIAGE No.2 *Push the both side switches v CARRIAGE No.3 *CM07 switch defective (Switch is OFF, while its knob is pushed ON) *CARRIAGE defective (CM13, CM14) *PW BOARD C (CM07) incompletely soldered *Control PW BOARD attached in the final process defective *CLAMPER (CM32) not closely mounted *PW BOARD C (CM07) incompletely soldered *Motor (CM49) defective *Control PW BOARD attached in the final process defective

Because, when opening the CARRIAGE at the PLAY position, the displaced CARRIAGE hits the CARRIAGE which rises from the PLAY position, which prevents the latter CARRIAGE from rising further and slides it down
