Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.

[D.ZOOM]
� Refer to P94 for aspect ratio and P94 for picture size. � �EZ� is an abbreviation of �Extended optical Zoom�. � You can further enhance the zoom magnification with the extended optical zoom without worrying about further picture distortion. � When [EX. OPT. ZOOM] is set to [ON], [ ] is displayed on the screen if you set a picture size that activates the extended optical zoom. � If you set [QUALITY] to [RAW_FINE], [RAW_STANDARD] or [RAW], the extended optical zoom is not activated. � The picture may stop moving for a moment before being brought into focus when you press the shutter button halfway. This is not a malfunction. Further extending the zoom (When taking pictures with Live View only)
Press [
MENU /SET
] to display the [REC] mode
menu and select the item to set. (P26) You can further enhance the zoom magnification that you had when using the optical zoom (this includes when using the extended optical zoom), by 2a or 4a with the digital zoom. You can take pictures with a maximum focal length of 200 mm (35 mm film camera equivalent: 400 mm) with the supplied lens. Also, if you set a picture size that activates the extended optical zoom, you can take pictures with a maximum focal length of 356 mm (35 mm film camera equivalent: 712 mm). � Press [LIVE VIEW] to switch the camera beforehand to taking pictures with Live View.
