I AM HIGHLY IMPRESSED BY THE EASE OF USE OF THIS DOWNLOAD SERVICE. INSTRUCTIONS ARE CLEAR AND SIMPLE TO FOLLOW....EVEN BY TECHNOPHOBES SUCH AS MYSELF. THE EMAILS POINT YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION...ITS SO EASY PEASY. THE DOWNLOAD CHOICE OF USER MANUALS IS EXTENSIVE AND I COULD NOT FIND A CHEAPER OR MORE EFFICIENT SERVICE ON THE INTERNET. I COULD NOT HAVE MADE A BETTER CHOICE OF INFORMATION PROVIDER. SHOULD I EVER NEED ANOTHER USER MANUAL, THEN THIS IS THE FIRST CHOICE SITE. Selecting Whether to Show the Top Menu First
[-R] [-R]DL] [-RW�V�] [+R] [+R]DL] [+RW] Before �nalizing a disc, select whether the top menu shows after �nalizing. Perform preparation steps 1�4 of �Accessing the Management Menus� ( 44).
Finalizing
[-R] [-R]DL] [-RW�V�] [+R] [+R]DL] You can play these discs on compatible DVD players by �nalizing it on the unit. The menu you create with the unit can also be used on most DVD players. Perform preparation steps 1�4 of �Accessing the Management Menus� ( 44).

�Do not disconnect the AC power supply cord while �nalizing. This can render the disc unusable. �When �nalizing a high-speed recording compatible disc, it may take longer than displayed on the con�rmation screen (approximately 4 times longer). �After �nalizing � [-R] [-R]DL] [+R] [+R]DL] The disc becomes play-only and you can no longer record or edit it. � [-RW�V�] You can record and edit the disc after formatting although it becomes play-only after �nalizing. � The disc �nalized on the unit may not be playable on other players depending on the condition of the recording. � There is a pause of several seconds between recordings and chapters during playback. � Recordings are divided into about 5-minute chapters� ([+R]

Tips
After you have �nished recording and try to eject the disc, a screen asking if you want to �nalize the disc appears ( 15).
