3)Driving the fuser unit The rotation of the main motor is transmitted to the heat roller gear via some
� gears. � The paper exit sensor lever detects the paper exiting the fuser unit.
4)Fusing the temperature
� Sequence
a)When turning ON the power, the heat roller is heated up by the heater lamp. b)When the heat roller reaches a specific temperature (302°F/150°C), the main motor is turned ON and the heat roller and the pressure roller start rotating. When the heat roller reaches the proper fusing temperature (378°F/192°C), the main motor is turned OFF and the unit is ready. c) The thermistor detects the heat roller temperature and controls switching the fuser lamp to keep the temperature constant.

NOTE: E4-01 will be indicated if the heat roller temperature is not reach within the specified period of time after the power is turned ON.

Mechanism
The heat roller has a halogen lamp that lights up while warming up and making copies.
