The TEAC A-1500's Service Manual was instrumental in reviving this classic reel-to-reel. Not only does it have the schematics, exploded parts diagram and parts list, it also provided mechanical adjustment information that approximate factory default settings.

3. Remove the 3 screws behind the rear panel and disconnect CN6001. 4. Release 2 claws each side.
11.3. Disassembling the Tray Assembly
1. Keep the close lock gear pressed in clockwise, move the tray assembly in the direction of the arrow..
2. Release connector CN6002.
3. Push and release the 4 claws in the direction of arrow 3, and then remove the tray assembly in the direction of arrow 4.
4. Pull out the FFC CN6003 and FP2001.
