I would not plug this machine in without finding a manual like this. In addition to setup and normal operating instructions, it has troubleshooting flowcharts, diagrammed mechanical adjustments, and schematics to beat the band. The tech I hand it to would be thrilled to find solder side PCB diagrams with component outlines superimposed, pinouts for every IC chip, and line drawings of transistors, with labeled legs. As for printing quality, this may be a copy of a copy, but even the finest print when enlarged is very legible. There is a bit of grayed print over a few pages, as if a wet page were placed over it, but the print is still very legible. If you could borrow an original manual and get it printed and bound for 4 to 6 times the cost, you could get better quality. In that case you wouldn't be here. For price, utility, and availability I am rating this manual highly.

7.1.2 TROUBLE SHOOTING
â�¢ No Power ON â�¢ FL is not turned ON â�¢ FL indication is unusual
START

Power ON

â�¢ Blow out fuse of the primary side â�¢ Blow out micro-fuse on the POWER SUPPLY Unit. (Check the each voltage.) (P211, R711) â�¢ FL controller IC (IC101) on the FLKY Assy is damaged.

Turn on the power again after 2 - 3 minutes. â�¢ Check the following connections : POWER SUPPLY Assy - DVDM Assy DVDM Assy - FLKY Assy FLKY Assy - PWSB Assy â�¢ Check each voltage (EV+5V, SW+5V, SW+3.3V, +6V and +12V) (If above voltage are not supplied, check the micro-fuse.)

Is FL turn on ? Yes

No

Is the indication of FL normal ? Yes

No FL indication is dark or flickers.

â�¢ Short or open the zenner diode on the POWER SUPPLY Unit. (D513) â�¢ Check the values of R118 on the FLKY Assy.

Indicates the error message

Refer to the section "7.1.3 ERROR CODE".

â�¢ Blow out micro-fuse on the POWER SUPPLY Unit. (R711)

Is tray open ? Yes

No

â�¢ Check the connection between TRADE Assy and DVDM Assy. (13P flexible cable) â�¢ Check the +6V power supply voltage (above micro fuse).

Do the video and sound come on ? Yes

No

Check the connection between KRJB Assy and DVDM Assy.

OK

Indicate the error message.

Refer to the section "7.1.3 ERROR CODE".
