I was very pleased with the manual I got for my amateur (ham) radio. Without it I could not figure out how to input and/or change the P/L setting on my radio. It drove me nuts as the radio was essentially useless. That all changed when my manual came. Then it took only minutes and I was done. Now my radio works fine. Die Standardeinstellung des Players ist AUTO, und solange Sie beim Abspielen von Discs keine Bildverzerrungen feststellen, sollten Sie diese Einstellung unverändert lassen. Falls Sie bei manchen Discs Verzerrungen bemerken, stellen Sie den Fernseher auf das System Ihres Landes bzw. Ihrer Region ein. Dies könnte allerdings bedeuten, dass Sie nicht mehr alle Arten von Discs abspielen können. Die nachstehende Tabelle zeigt, welche Arten von Discs mit jeder Einstellung verträglich sind (AUTO, PAL und NTSC). 1 Bei eingeschaltetem Spieler drücken Sie STANDBY/ON, um das Gerät in den Standby-Zustand zu schalten. 2 Halten Sie an der Frontplatte das Bedienelement ¡ ¢ gedrückt und drücken Sie dann STANDBY/ON, um den Fernseher einzuschalten. Das Fernsehsystem ändert sich wie folgt: AUTO = NTSC NTSC = PAL PAL = AUTO Im Player-Display wird �Welcome Pioneer� angezeigt, gefolgt von der neuen Einstellung.

NTSC-Format auf PAL-System abspielen (MOD. PAL)
Die meisten Modelle der neu entwickelten Countdown-PAL-TV-Systeme erkennen 50 Hz (PAL)/60 Hz (NTSC) und wechseln automatisch die vertikale Amplitude, so dass die Anzeige keine vertikale Schrumpfung erfährt. Wenn Ihr PAL-Fernseher keinen V-HoldRegler aufweist, können Sie unter Umständen keine NTSC-Discs abspielen, weil das Bild rollt. Hat der Fernseher jedoch einen V-Hold-Regler, experimentieren Sie so lange, bis das Rollen aufhört. Auf manchen Fernsehern kann sich eine vertikale Schrumpfung einstellen, so dass oben und unten schwarze Bänder entstehen. Dies ist keine Störung, sondern die Folge der NTSC-PAL-Konvertierung.
� Vor jeder �nderung müssen Sie den Player auf Standby (drücken Sie STANDBY/ON) schalten.
