I was so happy that the owner's manual was available. It is well written and helped me to use the radio/CD player/recorder without problems. Thanks for making it available.

Thanks so much for the Owner's manual for my Sony PS - FL1. I had purchased the turntable off of eBay. It came in and looked great. Packed well and appeared to be great. I balanced and aligned the tone are and hooked it up. When trying to play a record the tone are would move to the right place and just before it would drop to play it moved back off the edge of the record before touching down. I searched the net for an answer to this issue. No luck. Then I purchased the owners manual and sure enough there was a place to adjust where the stylus touched down. That adjustment solved the problem and saved me a $35 feet to have the player checked out. The manual is well written and easy to understand. It is a must have for anyone with this front loading Sony turntable.
Some years back I pruchased a Sansui G-9000. I had it cleaned up and a problem with the left channel repaired. When I got it back I hooked it up to my tape decks, turn tables, TV and it played great. The only thing I was not really satisfied with was the performance of my Graphic Equalizer. I purchased this owner's manual had poured myself a cup of coffee. The manual is well organized and written in plain language. It also contained the solution to my dissatisfaction. By using the preamp connections coupled I was able to run everything through my graphic equalizer and now enjoy the full potential of my complete system.
An excellent service for the price, however, it would also have been handy if the troubleshooter pages were included. The manual is only sent in the language of your country, thus it looks as though there are some pages missing. Otherwise highly recommended.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Before any maintenance or cleaning is carried out you must DISCONNECT the appliance from the electricity supply. To aid cleaning, the top part of the additive compartment should be removed.
Descaling
The water we use normally contains lime. It is a good idea to periodically use a water softening powder in the machine. Do this separately from any laundry washing, and according to the softening powder manufacturer's instructions. This will help to prevent the formation of lime deposits.

Cleaning the drawer recess
Having removed the drawer, use a small brush to clean the recess, ensuring that all washing powder residue is removed from the upper and lower part of the recess. Replace the drawer and run the rinse programme for a few minutes without any clothes in the drum.
After each wash
Leave the door open for a while. This helps to prevent mould and stagnant smells forming inside the appliance. Keeping the door open after a wash will also help to preserve the door seal.
Maintenance Wash
With the use of low temperature washes it is possible to get a build up of residues inside the drum. We recommend that a maintenance wash be performed on a regular basis. To run a maintenance wash:

The drum should be empty of laundry. Select the hottest cotton wash programme. Use a normal measure of detergent, must be a powder (such as Ariel Futur).
Cleaning the filter
The water drain filter
A clean filter is important for the correct functioning of the machine, and should therefore be cleaned after every washing programme. Open the filter door and place a container underneath to catch any spillage.
External cleaning
Clean the exterior cabinet of the appliance with soap and water only, and then dry thoroughly.
Cleaning the dispenser drawer
The washing powder and additive dispenser drawer should be cleaned regularly. Remove the drawer by pressing the catch downwards and by pulling it out. Flush it out under a tap, to remove any traces of accumulated powder.

If the filter is blocked and the machine is unable to drain you will need to drain the water manually from the machine at this stage. To do this, unhook the drain hose from the standpipe or sink and hold the end of the hose over a bowl on the floor. The water should drain by gravity into the bowl. When the bowl is full, hook the hose back up and empty the bowl. Repeat the procedure until water stops flowing out. 16
