A great copy of the manual, and the only one I could find anywhere on the net! The circuit diagrams are easily readable, all component values marked and easy to see. A highly appreciated download!

Great Manual. This manual is available no where else. It was exactly what I was looking for.

The TEAC A-1500's Service Manual was instrumental in reviving this classic reel-to-reel. Not only does it have the schematics, exploded parts diagram and parts list, it also provided mechanical adjustment information that approximate factory default settings.

This service manual was determinant to enable to fix my Alpine Amplifier. I am pleased with my purchase. For a 5 star rating I would like to see a higher resolution scan of the printed circuit board lay-out because the gray scale grafics was dificult to see. Also some schematic diagrams were scanned at a slight angle. Never the less, it had all information I needed to troubleshoot and service my equipment.

Complete manual, the good quality of reproduction allows enlarged print-out of the schematic diagram in the size it probably had in the original print edition and which is necessary for practical use.

Symptom Playback The disc does not play. Remedy � No disc is inserted. � A blank disc is inserted. � No cassette tape is inserted. � The disc is upside down. Insert the disc with the labeled side facing up. � The disc is not correctly inserted. � The unit cannot play certain discs (such as a CD-ROM) (page 43). � The region code on the DVD VIDEO does not match the unit (page 43). � Moisture has condensed inside the unit. Remove the disc and leave the unit turned on for about half an hour until the moisture evaporates (page 4). � If the disc was recorded on another recorder, the unit cannot play the disc if it was not finalized (page 41). � Resume play was activated (page 48). Press STOP C button twice. � You have inserted a disc whose Title menu or DVD menu automatically appears on the TV screen when it is first insert. � The DVD VIDEO features an auto playback function. � Depending on the disc, you may not be able to do some of the operations above. It takes a while for the unit to automatically format a DVD-RW. � Make sure the tape has a safety tab when you record to a cassette tape. If needed, cover the hole with cellophane tape. �There was a power failure during recording. � The units internal clock stopped due to a power failure that lasted for more than 30 seconds. The disc does not start playback from the beginning.
The unit starts playing from the disc automatically. Some functions such as Stop, Search, or Slow-motion Play cannot be performed. The language for the sound track cannot be changed.
The subtitle language cannot be changed or turned off. The angles cannot be changed.
Recording/Timer recording/Editing The channel cannot be changed from the channel you are recording. Recording does not start immediately after you press REC/OTR button.
Nothing was recorded even though you set the timer setting correctly.
Recording does not stop immediately after you press STOP C button. Timer recording is not complete or did not start from the beginning. Timer recording is impossible.
