I was very pleased with the manual I got for my amateur (ham) radio. Without it I could not figure out how to input and/or change the P/L setting on my radio. It drove me nuts as the radio was essentially useless. That all changed when my manual came. Then it took only minutes and I was done. Now my radio works fine. BASIC IMAGE RECORDING
I Flash On
Select (Flash On) as the flash mode when backlighting causes your subject to appear dark, even though there is enough light to keep the flash from firing automatically. This will cause the flash to fire and illuminate your subject whenever you press the shutter button (daylight synchro flash).
I Soft Flash
Select (Soft Flash) as the flash mode to suppress flash intensity and shoot with a soft feel.
I About Red-eye Reduction
Using the flash to record at night or in a dimly lit room can cause red spots inside the eyes of people who are in the image. Red-eye reduction causes the camera�s AF assist light/REC light/self-timer lamp to light, which causes the irises in the eyes of any people in the image to close. This reduces the chance of red-eye in the image.
I High-power Flash
Select (High-power Flash) as the flash mode when the subject is relatively far away from the camera. IMPORTANT! � Using High-power Flash can cause an increase in digital noise in images. � High-power Flash disabled when any setting other than �Auto� is selected for the ISO sensitivity setting. Make sure that the ISO setting is �Auto� (page 142) when you want to use High-power Flash.
