This is an excellent handbook. We had no information on the appliance until we obtained this and are now able to use the appliance to its full potential. Strongly recommended.
The Owner's manual was very helpful. The WEGA is about 35 years old and needed repair.

4. Drain pump
The machine is equipped with a self-cleaning pump which does not need any cleaning.
5. Emergency emptying out
If the water is not discharged, proceed as follows to empty out the machine: s pull out the plug from the power socket; s close the water tap; s if necessary, wait until the water has cooled down; s place a bowl on the floor; s put the drain hose end into the bowl and let the water come out.
6. The dangers of freezing
If the machine is exposed to temperatures below 0°C, certain precautions should be taken. s Turn off the water tap. s Unscrew the inlet hose. s Unhook the drain hose from the rear support and position the end of this hose and that of the inlet hose in a bowl. Run the draining programme until the selector dial is in the �Stop� position. s Switch the machine off. s Screw the inlet hose and reposition the drain hose. s When you intend to start the machine up again, make sure that the room temperature is above 0°C.
