again you did a very good job. It was fast too. Photocopy are really readable and clear
;
Probably it never existed a 1081 official service manual from Commodore, it's look more like a NAPCEC service manual & diagrams compilation of the 1084 series and his variants, like the nap6523, 8cm505, 1084S, 1084P and obviously the 1081. It's more complete than other scans and the quality of the scans also are far superior. It has two circuit diagrams variants of the 1081, mono and stereo versions. It doesn't include a diagram for the Philips CM8500 or CM8501, they look like the 1081 but they are slightly different.

Rapid, clear well done as all the scheme I downloaded from this site. Great job very functional and very useful
;
Great copy of the manual, has all information required for servicing,

I work at an authorized service center and I can tell if a manual is as it should be. This one is. It may be a scan, but a very good one at that. The interesting part for me was the curcuit diagram which was scanned at high quality, making it as good as the original. I will definitely be back as a customer. I need not say this, but I will: the price was the best. Thank you owner-manuals.com .

STANDBY ON
1
1 STANDBY/ON switch (STANDBY / ON) When this switch is set to the ON position, power is supplied to the units main circuits (Equalizer indicators lights).
2
3 Equalizer controls These are equalizer controls for the bands 60 Hz, 150 Hz, 400 Hz, 1 kHz, 2.4 kHz, 6 kHz and 15 kHz. When the equalizer button has been set to ON, these controls may be adjusted. When a control is raised upwards from the 0 position, the frequency band corresponding to that control will be emphasized; when the controls is lowered, the frequency band will be attenuated. These controls can be used independently for right and left channels.
NOTE: Even when performing playback without using the functions of this component, be sure that its STANDBY/ON switch is ON. If the STANDBY/ON switch is STANDBY, no sound will be produced from the speakers.
2 EQUALIZER button (EQUALIZER OFF / ON) When this button is pressed, the equalizer ON indicator lights and its functions become operative. When pressed once again, this indicator go out and the units functions are turned OFF, Use this button in the following manner: ON: When using the equalizer to add sound compensation while performing mixing operations with program sources (FM broadcasts, CD play, tape playback, etc.). OFF: When not using the equalizer, but playing back or recording program sources without compensation.
NOTE: In order to protect your speakers from damage resulting from excessively large inputs, whenever augmenting highfrequency sound over a wide range, be sure not to raise your amplifiers sound volume too high.
