This GRUNDIG UV5A Owner Manual is not only an instruction manual but a total functional circuit description of the Multimeter and includes circuit diagram at the end pages. It is very helpful for repairing and calibrating the instrument. It is written in two languages English and German for international support. It was very easy to repair my unit with this document. Usually the distance to a subject where the lens is in focus depends on the zoom magnification. Even though not heard while shooting, shutter sound is recorded on the tape. The beep sounds when the power is turned on or off, and at the beginning and end of recording. Also to activate the shutter sound effect ( pg. 28). Instead of a beep, a melody sounds when any operation is performed. It also activates the shutter sound effect ( pg. 28). The tally lamp remains off at all times. The tally lamp comes on to signal the start of recording. This number is necessary when connecting the camcorder to a device such as a computer using the J terminal (JLIP) or PC connector. The numbers range from 01 to 99. Factory setting is 06.
