Wanting to repair a neighbours tape recorder I needed the necessary information, it makes it easier. Although the service manual is described as "Language : English" To my dismay I found that it is entirely written in German, a language I do not understand. At least I now have the schematics which will help of sorts. I may not use this service again due to the laguage difficulty after all when it states English you do not expect it to be entirely in another language.

General: This Service Information belongs to Service Manual 4822 729 21641. Panels: Vacuum cleaners produced up to production date 9636. In case version panel item 13 or button panel item 39 must be exchanged, they must always both be replaced as a result of a modified, non- interchangeable snap construction. Cord winder lever (item 12) 4822 402 10108 improved. The complaint �cord winder does not work� is probably due to the lever. If the cord winder fails to wind the cord, the lever (item12) will have to be replaced by a lever made of a different improved material. Onwards 9638 the modification is in production and available as spare (4822 402 10108). Low voltage version. Specific parts for these vacuum cleaners are: Item Order no. 15 15 20 4822 214 11913 4822 214 11912 Description Pcb rem. control 100 - 127 V Pcb eco/auco 100 - 127 V In the dust chamber a hole with a diam. of 6 mm must be drilled, to cool the cord winder via the cord winder cooling hose, (position the hole as is in the dust chamber to be replaced). In the reel half spring unit a rib must be removed to connect the cooling hose, just as is in the replaced unit. 4822 530 21034 Cord winder cooling hose (The correct lenght of the tube without connectors is 84 mm).
