I purchased the unit from a private party and the original owners manual was not available. Having the ability to download it was extremely helpful and clarified operating the equipment immensely. This is a complicated unit and without the manual I would not have been able to maximize it's potential. Thank you.

PLAYBACK (DVD deck)
SYMPTOM
1. The button do not work. 2. The DVD deck can not be operated.
TROUBLESHOOTING (cont.)
POSSIBLE CAUSE
� The operation is prohibited on the placed disc. � The DVD deck is not selected.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
� On the unit Press VCR/DVD repeatedly so that the DVD indicator lights up. On the Remote Press DVD so that the DVD indicator lights up. � Use the discs whose region number includes �ALL� or �4�. ( pg. 5) Use the discs whose region number includes �ALL� or �4�. ( pg. 5) See �Unplayable Discs� ( pg. 5).
3. �X� appears on the TV screen. 4. �REGION CODE ERROR!� appears on the TV screen. 5. The disc cannot be played back.

Remove the disc, then place the disc properly in the disc tray. ( pg. 7, �Placing a Disc�) Release the Parental Lock temporarily ( pg. 57), or change the set level ( pg. 57). � With some discs, the language should be set on the top menu. ( pg. 41) � Set the subtitles display to on. ( pg. 52)
� The Parental Lock is engaged, and the placed disc is rated higher than the set level. 6. The language is not played back as you set. 7. Changing audio/subtitle language is not possible. 8. The subtitles do not appears on the TV screen. � The disc does not contain the language you set. � The disc does not contain the audio/ subtitle in the multiple languages. � The disc does not contain the subtitles. � The subtitle display is set to off. � A-B Repeat Playback is in progress.
