I AM HIGHLY IMPRESSED BY THE EASE OF USE OF THIS DOWNLOAD SERVICE. INSTRUCTIONS ARE CLEAR AND SIMPLE TO FOLLOW....EVEN BY TECHNOPHOBES SUCH AS MYSELF. THE EMAILS POINT YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION...ITS SO EASY PEASY. THE DOWNLOAD CHOICE OF USER MANUALS IS EXTENSIVE AND I COULD NOT FIND A CHEAPER OR MORE EFFICIENT SERVICE ON THE INTERNET. PLAYBACK (DVD deck)
SYMPTOM
1. The button do not work. 2. The DVD deck can not be operated.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
� The operation is prohibited on the placed disc. � The DVD deck is not selected.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
� On the unit Press S-VHS/DVD repeatedly so that the DVD indicator lights up. On the remote control Press DVD so that the DVD indicator lights up. � Use the discs whose region number includes �ALL� or �4�. ( pg. 5) Use the discs whose region number includes �ALL� or �4�. ( pg. 5) See �Unplayable Discs� ( pg. 5).
3. �X� appears on the TV screen. 4. �REGION CODE ERROR!� appears on the TV screen. 5. The disc cannot be played back.

Remove the disc, then place the disc properly in the disc tray. ( pg. 7, �Placing a Disc�) Release the Parental Lock temporarily ( pg. 59), or change the set level ( pg. 59). � With some discs, the language should be set on the top menu. ( pg. 42) � Set the subtitles display to on. ( pg. 54)
� The Parental Lock is engaged, and the placed disc is rated higher than the set level. 6. The language is not played back as you set. 7. Changing audio/subtitle language is not possible. 8.
