To record one channel while watching another
After starting the recording (step 5 on page 60), press the TV/VCR button to select the TV mode. The TV broadcast being recorded disappears. Select the desired channel to watch with the channel control on the TV, To monitor the recording, press the TV/VCR button to select the \/CR mode, then select the video channel (channel 3 or 4) on the TV,
Selecting the recording speed
Recording in either the SP, EP, or LP mode is possible with this Iunit, depending upon the color system. When recording, select the desired recording mode with the TAPE SPEED button. PAUMESECAM: SP, LP NTSC: SP, EP A cassette recorded in the EP mode runs three times as slowly, and a cassette recorded in the LP mode runs twice as slowly, asatape recorded in the SP mode.
To prevent an accidental
recording ~
To prevent accidentally recording over a tape, break off the tab on the back edge of the tape. To record over the tape again, cover the tab Ihole with adhesive tape @.
If a recording is attempted while a cassette without an erasure prevention tab is inserted, the cassette is ejected.
