Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.

Ein- und Ausschalten der Funktion zum automatischen �ffnen/ Schlie�en des Monitors

Wenn diese Funktion aktiviert ist, öffnet sich der Monitor automatisch, wenn der Zündschlüssel auf "ACC" oder "ON" gedreht wird. Beim Ausschalten der Zündung (Position "OFF") schlie�t sich der Monitor dann wieder. Drehen Sie den Zündschlüssel, unmittelbar nachdem Sie Namen eingegeben oder die Einstellungen des Initialisierungs- oder Anzeigemodus geändert haben und während das System die Daten noch automatisch einliest, nicht in die Position OFF. Andernfalls wird der Name nicht gespeichert bzw. werden die Einstellungen nicht geändert.

Drücken Sie die SOURCE-Taste. Das Hauptmenü erscheint auf dem Bildschirm.
Drücken Sie Taste 6 (INTLZ). Die Initialisierungsmodus-Anzeige erscheint.
Drehen Sie am Drehschalter, um "AUTO OPEN" zu wählen. Die Symbolleiste erscheint auf dem Bildschirm.
Drücken Sie Taste 2 (ON), um die Funktion zu aktivieren. Zum Deaktivieren der Funktion drücken Sie Taste 1 (OFF). Bei Einstellung auf "OFF" mu� der Monitor manuell durch Betätigen der OPEN/ CLOSE-Taste geöffnet und geschlossen werden. Drücken Sie nach beendeter Einstellung die Taste FUNC (RETURN). Das Hauptmenü erscheint dabei wieder auf dem Bildschirm.
