1. Open the front cover by putting your hand inside it and pulling it forward.
3. Hold the purple handle of the imaging cartridge so that the stamped markings on top of the cartridge are facing upwards.
2. Carefully remove the sheet of black protective paper from the drum cartridge. Be sure not to leave any torn pieces of paper in the printer.
4. Place the two projecting guides at each end of the imaging cartridge on top of the runners at the place indicated by the imaging cartridge mark ( ), and then gently insert the imaging cartridge inside the printer.
D. Installing the Imaging Cartridge
The imaging cartridge is enclosed in a silver aluminum bag to protect it during shipment. To install the imaging cartridge, follow the steps below. The drum cartridge must be installed before the imaging cartridge can be installed. 1. Remove the imaging cartridge from its aluminum bag and shake it four to five times to distribute the toner evenly inside the reservoir. 5. Push the place marked PUSH until the imaging cartridge is fully inside the printer.

2. Remove the imaging cartridge cover. (The imaging cartridge cover is the white cover on the bottom of the imaging cartridge.)
6. Close the front cover.
