Symptoms
� No playback picture (DVD/VCD) appears on the monitor. � The left and right edges of the picture are missing on the screen. � Disc cannot be played back.
Causes
Parking brake wire is not connected properly. �4:3 PAN SCAN� is selected when viewing on a conventional TV (aspect ratio 4:3). No MP3/WMA tracks are recorded on the disc. MP3/WMA tracks do not have the extension code <.mp3> or <.wma>. Tracks are not recorded in the format compliant with ISO 9660 Level 1, Level 2, Romeo, or Joliet.
Remedies
See Installation/Connection Manual. Select �4:3 LETTER BOX.� (See page 60.)
Change the disc. Add the extension code <.mp3> or <.wma> to their file names. Change the disc. (Record MP3/WMA tracks using a compliant application.) Skip to another track or change the disc. (Do not add the extension code <.mp3> or <.wma> to non-MP3 or WMA tracks.) Do not use too many hierarchies and folders.
� Noise is generated.
The track played back is not an MP3/WMA file (although it has the extension code <.mp3> or <.wma>). Readout time varies due to the complexity of the folder/ file configuration. Playback order is determined when the files are recorded.
MP3/WMA Disc playback
� A longer readout time is required. � Tracks cannot be played back as you have intended them to play.
� Elapsed playing time is not This sometimes occurs correct. during play. This is caused by how the tracks are recorded on the disc. � WMA track cannot be played back, and skipped. � Correct characters are not displayed (e.g. album name). The track is copy-protected with DRM. This receiver can only display alphabets (A � Z, a � z), numbers, and a limited number of symbols and some accented letters.
