Adjusting the sound
You can adjust the sound characteristics to your preference.

Adjust the setting.
To increase the level or turn on the loudness To decrease the level or turn off the loudness Equalization pattern changes as you adjust the bass or treble.

Select the item you want to adjust.
Each time you press the button, the adjustable items change as follows:
BAS
(bass)
TRE
(treble)
FAD
(fader)
VOL
(volume)
LOUD
(loudness)
BAL
(balance)
Range �06 (min.) | +06 (max.)
Ex. 1: When you adjust �TRE� (treble)
Indication To do: BAS*1 Adjust the bass.
Ex. 2: When you turn on the loudness
TRE*1
Adjust the treble.
�06 (min.) | +06 (max.) R06 (Rear only) | F06 (Front only) L06 (Left only) | R06 (Right only) LOUD ON | LOUD OFF

Repeat steps 1 and 2 to adjust the other items.
FAD*2
Adjust the front and rear speaker balance.
BAL
Adjust the left and right speaker balance. Boost low and high frequencies to produce a wellbalanced sound at low volume level.
To reset each sound mode to the factory settings, repeat the same procedure and reassign the preset values listed in the table on page 29.

Adjust the volume. 00 (min.) | 50 (max.)
*1 When you adjust the bass, treble, or loudness, the adjustment you have made is stored for the currently selected sound mode (C-EQ) including �USER.� *2 If you are using a two-speaker system, set the fader level to �00.� *3 Normally the control dial work as the volume control. So you do not have to select �VOL� to adjust the volume level.
