Having purchased a 1994 Kenwood music system from a Charity shop in 2013 (it was a high end product in its day), I found myself not quite knowing where to plug in what, and how to do this, that and the next thing. I needed a Manual, and after failure with another online 'Manual provider' I found Owner Manuals dot com. Well, I wasn't sure, but it was only $5, and if things didn't work out, I wouldn't have lost much... But things DID work out. After paying my childrens inheritance money, $4.99, I was sent a Manual for my Kenwood System very quickly. Alas, it was in German, and being Scottish, I could not read it or get my system in order from it...a rapid email to them brought the English Manual in short order, and my retro-system was and IS up and running in it's regulation settings. I am very grateful to http://www.owner-manuals.com for their quick service and for even having such an obsolete Manual in the first place! If you need a Manual for ANYTHING, try here first. 1 Use the INPUT SELECTOR to select the video source (other than �VIDEO1 �) you want to record. 2 Set the video deck connected to VIDEO 1 to record. � Select the REC MODE to record a digital input source. 3 Start playback, then start recording. � With certain video software, recording may not be normal due to the copy guard condition. �

Recording audio (digital sources)
Switch on the REC MODE to record a digital input source. Usually use the A-REC MODE to record audio input sources. When the digital mode changes during recording in the A- REC MODE, the audio may be interrupted momentarily. To record the audio from the beginning of the digital mode change, use the M-REC MODE. With a model that is not compatible with DTS, no audio is reproduced even when the DTS signals are input.

INPUT SELECTOR
1 Use the input selector to select the source (CD, DVD,VIDEO2, or VIDEO3) you want to record. 2 Set the cassette deck to record. 3 Play the source to be recorded. 4 Press and hold the DIMMER key for more than 2 seconds to select the MREC MODE. � The mode changes every 2 seconds as shown below.

The digital input record mode is switched off. The digital input signals (DTS, Dolby Digital or PCM) are identified automatically and converted into stereo signals that are ready for recording. The input signal type at the moment this mode is selected is held throughout this mode.
