This manual covers the main equipment features only. While it also includes the procedure for saving and loading from the now long obsolete memory cards it does not mention the how to operate with the optional floppy drive interface so I am still at a loss about how to use this! Note that there is a separate manual covering the MIDI interface and programming via the keyboard, not included in this download. You will also need to get hold of this if you want to use the MIDI interface properly. Basically there is little difference between this manual and the free to download manual for the similar PR60 model.

The manual was properly scanned and perfectly readable. The only small problem is that I couldn't use my dear Ctrl + F to find a word I needed.
Bassabsenkungs-Rolloff. Bietet einen 6-dB/Oktave-Rolloff-Filter bei 115 Hz. Diese Einstellung wird für Stimmen oder Instrumente oder zur Kompensation des Nahbesprechungseffekts oder zur Verringerung niedriger Frequenzen verwendet, die ein Instrument dumpf oder unsauber klingen lassen.
Einstellung der Bedämpfung
Der Bedämpfungsschalter auf der Rückseite des KSM32 verringert den Signalpegel der Mikrofonkapsel um 15 dB, ohne den Frequenzgang zu verändern. Dadurch kann verhindert werden, dass extrem hohe Schalldruckpegel (z.B. Nahaufnahmen von Trommeln und Gitarrenlautsprechern) das Mikrofon überlasten. Zur Aktivierung der Bedämpfung den Schalter in die Stellung �-15 dB� verschieben. 0 dB � Diesen Schalter für �leise� bis �normale� Schallpegel verwenden. -15 dB � Diese Schalterstellung sollte verwendet werden, wenn sich das Mikrofon in geringer Nähe zu extrem lauten Schallquellen befindet, wie z.B. Bassdrum, Wirbeltrommel oder lauten Gitarrenlautsprechern.
Eingebauter Poppfilter
Der Grill des KSM32 besteht aus 3 separaten Geflechtschichten, die als eingebauter Poppfilter wirken und zur Verringerung von Wind- und Atemgeräuschen beitragen. Abhängig von der Person ist bei Mikrofonnahabnahmen von Sängern eventuell ein externer Poppschutz oder ein Windschutz nötig. (Siehe Abbildung 3.) Auch der Einsatz des steilflankigen Hochpass-Filters kann nützlich sein.

Abschlu�impedanz
Eine Abschlu�impedanz von mindestens 1000 Ω wird empfohlen. Bei gemeinsamer Verwendung mit üblichen, modernen Mikrofonvorverstärkern (mit Nennimpedanzen von ungefähr 2500 Ω) weist das KSM32 eine höhere maximale Schalldruckpegel-Festigkeit und einen höheren Ausgangs-Clipping-Pegel auf. Bei Mikrofondämpfung kann das KSM32 einen Schalldruckpegel bis zu 160 dB und einen Ausgangspegel von +15 dBV an einer Impedanz von 5500 Ω oder mehr bewältigen.
