3-2. CONVERGENCE
Preparation:

Before starting, perform FOCUS, V. LIN and V. SIZE adjustments. Set BRIGHTNESS control to minimum. Input dot pattern.
( 1 ) Vertical and Horizontal Static Convergence 1. Adjust V. STAT magnet to converge red, green and blue dots in the center of the screen. (Vertical movement)
Operation of BMC (Hexapole) Magnet The respective dot positions resulting from moving each magnet interact, so perform adjustment while tracking. Use the VSTAT tabs to adjust the red, green, and blue dots so they line up at the center of the screen (move the dots in a horizontal direction.)

Tilt the V. STAT magnet and adjust static convergence to open or close the V. STAT magnet. Y Separation Axis Correction Magnet Adjustment 1. 2. When the V. STAT magnet is moved in the direction of arrow a and b, red, green, and blue dots move as shown below: Input cross-hatch pattern, adjust PICTURE to minimum and BRIGHTNESS to normal. Adjust the deflection yoke upright so it touches the CRT. Adjust so that the Y separation axis correction magnet on the neck assembly is symmetrical from top to bottom (open state).
